The side lifts were a bit difficult at first, but I stuck with it & eventually I was able 2 do ‘em without feeling so…weak & inadequate. It was kinda difficult at first to not let my body simply crash back down from the lift, but instead, gradually come down from the lift while engaging my core muscles.

I’ve been doing planks for 5 months. The crunches don’t even give me a workout anymore. They are just too easy.
Want to take it to another level then try Yoga. I like Vinyasa. Same movements they just hold them longer depending on the class. They stretch out so well your not even sore the next couple of days.

It’s good for when you get more advanced though, and really helps out. Feel your abs during one of these moves, like the plank on one side, and you can really see that your abs are working had and getting toned!

Thanks this is a nice break from my regular crunches.

Yep this is a great toning excercise, crunches are a bad option for many people with bad or stiff back muscles.
alot of body builders gain back problems from crunches. A full situp, is very bad in excessive amounts for your back.
The collection of excercises here will give you great cuts if done in duration and is a easy way to remove stomach fat. Although those with weaker upper bodies, may not be able to complete these excercises as easily as a crunch.
Preferences are always nice!
