How consistent should my ab workout be?

March 13th, 2010 | by admin |

ive developed a routine and my ab exercises last around 15-20+ minutes however i was wondering if i should do it every single day or 3 times a week, etc so my question is, how consistent should my ab workout be?

Three times a week is all you need. But after about a month, you should switch up the order or introduce a new exercise just so that your abs don’t get "used" to the same old routine. Also, the best way to get really great abs is a low body fat percentage. If you do not do any cardio with your ab workout you will simply build the muscle underneath the fat.

There is NO SUCH THING as spot treating when it comes to burning fat. Sit ups will not burn fat around your stomach, but riding a bike will. The only way to lose fat is by way of long steady, cardio. Your body basically chooses where to store fat and as long as you are burning more calories than what you consume in a day, you will lose fat and see more muscle definition.

you should always have at least one to rest no matter what exercising you are doing and other than that I’ve heard many different opinions on how many times to do it just not everyday you’ll burn your muscles out
