What Are The Benefits Of Fitness Training On Your Heart?
February 22nd, 2010 | by admin |
When it comes to your heart and fitness training, the two are definitely linked. There are many benefits that can be had from fitness training, not the least of all to your heart. Whether or not you have heart problems, your heart and fitness training go hand in hand for a healthy lifestyle. This is because both your body and your heart will be doing a lot better if you get into regular fitness training routine.
The main thing that is affected with your heart and fitness training is the blood flow. The blood flow will be a lot better if you workout on a regular basis. This is because moving around and getting your blood moving increase circulation. Improved circulation can help with a variety of health problems. Not only that, but it can actually help avoid a lot of health problems before they even start. Besides helping with a variety of health problems, improved circulation can help raise your metabolism. Which in turn can help you lose weight even quicker.
Another benefit to your heart and fitness training is if you have problems with your cholesterol. It has been shown that a lot of people with high cholesterol are overweight. The weight is definitely a factor in the bad cholesterol. By losing just a few pounds it has been shown that you can lower your cholesterol by a few points. Even just a short walk four or five times a week can make a difference. You don’t have to workout very hard and lose a ton of weight; even a few pounds can make a difference. Lowering your cholesterol can reduce a lot of stress on your heart. This aspect of your heart and fitness training is definitely a great one to take advantage of if you fall into this category. Even if your cholesterol isn’t that bad, if it runs in your family you should take advantage of this as well. By starting now you can avoid problems in the future.
No matter what you do, make sure you get a doctor’s advice first. This is especially true if you have heart problems to start with. A doctor can give you some options for exercise that will not put too much stress on your heart. Yet a doctor can also let you know which ones will be best for your heart while still being able to lose weight.
In the end you can see that there are many benefits when it comes to your heart and fitness training. Once you get out there and take advantage of these benefits you will be glad you did. Whether you are trying to improve your heart or just avoid future heart problems, fitness training can definitely help.

Women in the Military, fitness question?
I have my heart set on joining the military and I’m putting together all the benefits of joining, like discipline, defending our Country, and a stable life and career for my family and myself. Another important benefit for me would be the fitness of basic training. It’s something I hadn’t thought of until now and I’m curious. How good of shape do you get in during Basic alone? Did you find that you lost weight, gained muscle, etc?
I’m currently a little chubby, lol ( I have children). I’m 130 lbs, but I tone quickly. I’ve also started running each morning for 45 minutes, then work on abs and my arms and back for an additional 45 minutes. As an example of how easy I tone and lose weight, I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks and have lost 17 lbs already. I also eat very healthy and don’t eat candy, cake, or other junk foods.
My concern is I’ve seen women leave skinny, and come back huge. The women I’m talking about had joined Reserves and didn’t really follow up with any exercise since returning. this would not be the case with me.
So what are your experiences and do you think it would be an added benefit as well for me?
Thanks in advance for reading and for your answers!
It seems I’ve left important stuff out, lol. I’m 15 lbs. under the weight limit cut-off, I’m also married and have qualified to be in the Army. I also had an ASVAB score of 90, if that matters here, lol. Thanks for all the answer and info so far!

Children? How many children? It’s likely you won’t even be allowed in because you have too many dependents. You also have to meet weight standards BEFORE they even accept you.

Sounds to me ,that you are up to the Challenge. You have thought it out quite well.Look out for injuries during basic training and you should be alright.Be prepared to be able to run a mile in your gear. And don’t let the Drill Instructors rattle you.Best of luck and thank you for your service if you sign up.

don’t know how many times this question has been asked but, once again, go to:

Pick your branch on the left. On the next page there is a button for Boot Camp or Basic

You will get plenty of exercise while in basic. If someone comes back weighing more it’s because they pigged out in the dining facility between training. Watch what you eat and you will be good. Getting in depends on your body fat if you are over the maximum weight. At 130 pounds, you are good if you are around 5′2 but you aren’t if you are less than 5′0 (assuming you are joining the Army).
As for your kids, they could be an issue if you are currently single. If you are going active then you cannot join unless you are married or if you don’t have custody. Regardless of if you have custody or not, you would need a waiver if you have three or more kids. If you are going Reserves then you need a waiver if you are single.

I went in after having my daughter, and was actually under weight, according to military standards. I had to gain at least 10 pounds, but shoot for 20. I could barely gain the 10 as it was. when going there, I saw a lot of "chubby", as you refer to it, girls in my company, and by the time it was all over, most of them went down at least 3-4 sizes, and looked great and were healthier.
I had to give Guardianship to my parents, being my Fiance was in the service as well serving in the first Gulf War. As soon as boot camp is over, they”’ll do all the paperwork there, you just make sure your Guardianship papers read that "if you get called to go away, your kids will be properly and legally cared for. You’ll have to make sure and show your recruiter your court documents though, prior to leaving for boot camp.
Boot camp was actually a joke for me. it was a "Brainwashing" game that you just played, and just took the important things with you, and through the rest way ay the end of your day. Just go with a positive attitude, ans know that you’re doing this for your country and family, and you’ll be fine! Hope that answered some questions for you and good luck Sweetie!
