I have a permanent coccyx (butt bone) injury that makes it impossible to do ab exercises that involve laying on the floor on my back, like crunches and sit-ups. The positions of these exercises put pressure on the injured area that makes it painful when coming up into the crunch. ...

Whenever I do ab exercises on the floor, it hurts my back even when I use a mat. If I do ab exercises on a bed, will it still be somewhat effective? I ran out of ideas.
