    @nicebitofskirt Careful! You’re peddling common sense in an arena where such is verboten. Expect to be accused of taking bribes from Big Phenylalanine within the fortnight.

    Aspartame might not be good for you, but how does a beverage with virtually no calories, carbs, or sugar make you gain weight? I mean there’s nothing in it.

    Okay whatever LOL. You keep drinking your diet coke and I guarantee you within 20 years, you’ll be having some serious neurological problems.

    @Getalis

    LMAO..Believe what you want to. U.S. NAVY pilots aren’t even allowed to use it, because of the neurological affects that have been proven time and time again.

    @jreily88 ROFLMAO! Looks like you’ve discovered his ruse and are afraid to admit it! Perhaps you can find solace in a nice science fiction novel? That could be a good outlet for your thirst for scandal & drama. Certainly better than making up lies about a substance proven to be safe time and time again…

    NO, the vast majority of it is correct. Just talk to the people who have taken aspartame their entire lives and have had severe problems because of it. None of it is urban legends. It is all backed by countless research.

    @jreily88 I’m saying it with respect to the overwhelming amount of urban legends (and other alarmist cowshit) he tries to pass off as legitimate science. And no, it was not meant to be taken literally. I’m sure Sean knows a lot about nutrition, it’s just that the vast majority of it is wrong.

    So you’re saying that despite Sean’s background in nutrition, helping clients with their problems, proving mainstream nutritionists wrong, and learning from some of the most highly respected leaders in nutrition such as price pottenger, he still doesn’t know anything about nutrition? Wow, you really are stupid. I bet you think that grass fed beef is bad for you because it has saturated fat and that vegetable oils are good for you.

    @jreily88

    So get it pure from wholesalers. What’s your point?

  16. By Getalis on Aug 8, 2010 | Reply

    @jreily88 It was never used as an ulcer drug; your sources are deeply flawed.

    Further, Stevia™ is no more “natural” than any other artificial sweetener. And some reports have indicted it as an insulin trigger; you may wish to keep your hand on that particular checker.

    @jreily88 The endocrine system simply doesn’t work that way. Do some research and quit believing everything UndergroundWellness, who knows nothing about nutrition, tells you.

    @Getalis

    All artificial sweeteners that you buy from the store contain about 99% sugar (dextrose, or maltodextrin) as a bulking agent.

    @Getalis

    Well there really isn’t alot of info on this, but I guess they don’t cause insulin spikes because there are no calories or carbs in them, but it’s not something I would want to consume, because it was used as an ulcer drug back in the 1960s and 70s. Just stick with stevia, it’s all natural and will not cause insulin spikes.
